I can still remember the first time I took a plane up north and caught a glimpse of farmland from my window seat. I've thought it to be beautiful ever since. Every now and again I just get an urge to paint something simple and wonderful. For some reason it is always a farm or bales of hay out in a field. This piece has great afternoon shadows and the trees on the left side of the painting make me so happy for some reason. A work truck hides in the lengthening shadows and bales of hay catch the final rays of the work day sun.
This piece is 30x40 and is acrylic and ink on gallery wrapped canvas.
